First Contact – Film Material nº4

First Contact is a newspaper printed on the occasion of the exhibition The Fourth Wall at Koch Oberhuber Wolff in Berlin. The newspaper includes texts and images from Von Wedemeyer’s archive, as well as new material, interviews, and articles, all used to develop the ideas behind the Forth Wall project. It is a collection of research material and commentaries meant to serve as a guide for the exhibition. It includes texts by Francesco Manacorda Angelika Stepken, Anne M. Lovell, Sylvia Schedelbauer, Paolo Caffoni and Clemens von Wedemeyer.

Clemens von Wedemeyer (born Göttingen, Germany, 1974) is the recipient of awards
such as the German competition at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen as well as the Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff-Stipendium. His work has recently been exhibited at KW, Berlin, MoMA,
New York, GAM, Torino and The Barbican, London.
